I Believe...

The story about how I don’t actually have it all figured out.

And why that tells you everything you need to know to hire me.

If you’re anything like me, you are perhaps already overwhelmed with resources and perspectives but consistently still looking for another tool, strategy, solution, or template to help you “figure out” the best way through your current struggles.

I put that in quotes because I have learned over the years that when I focus so much on “figuring things out” it is actually a red flag. When I hear myself saying those words or sometimes when I’m telling someone about my latest avenue of research and exploration, it’s also now a warning that I’m likely stuck in my head but disconnected from my own inner knowing.

You see, I have a tendency to ruminate and perpetually cycle through information-gathering when I’m worried about an outcome or have the potential for failure. Even though that’s “normal” that’s not the point. What IS important is what I do about it.

(Well, sometimes, validation is what’s actually needed, but that’s not what I need here.)

Now, what I’m about to share is a little contrary to the standard sales or marketing strategies I probably do actually need to learn more about to be more successful (or at least more profitable), but the standard way of operating has never really been “my thing” so hear me out.

Contrary to what everyone out there wants you to think in order to buy their thing, I don’t actually think you need anything else. I believe you already have everything you need—inside of you

My job as a coach is to help you
identify the key questions and the best solutions
by cultivating your own inner wisdom

This probably sounds super simple, but let me be the perfect example of how it certainly isn’t easy.

No matter how much you know, or have, or read, or consume, or [perhaps especially] have previously achieved, it’s never easy to make things happen on your own. We need connection to make even the best plans work. That’s the core concept I formed my business on and what I’m continuing to practice in my own life.

And if you’re thinking you should* be able to do this on your own, remember that even elite athletes need a coach and a training regimen. In fact, the more you achieve and the better you become across any or many facets of life, the more help you need to continue to be your best. It doesn’t just happen, no matter how amazing you already are. And I guarantee that you are a freakin’ superhero somewhere—even if you don’t know it yet! I can help you find that place.

*and we’ll eventually get back to that part about all the destructive ways we are probably should-ing all over ourselves too…

I started my business because I know I am really freakin’ amazing at
helping people translate ideas into actions and finding meaningful connections
that bring fulfillment to their work and relationships.

Doing this work is also what lights me up more than anything

However, I struggled for years—am still struggling—with giving myself permission to do this work because of my own fears of how that might be perceived or the credibility of that choice.

I worry that isn’t enough to do for a living or “the last thing the world needs is another life coach”. (Actual words I’ve said out loud that only reinforce my own self-limiting beliefs.) When, in fact, what I’m really struggling with is the fear that I am not enough. But I know better!!!

And this is part of what makes me freakin’ amazing at what I offer. I get it. I’ve been there. I’m still living it myself most days. But there’s another way. We can make a plan and find our way through with connection

So I made the bold decision! Took the brave next step! I formed my business! I went out “on my own”!

And then...I did anything and everything else that came up while I waited for the time [and confidence] to build out the rest.

So I obviously stalled... In my “spare” time between other work and projects, I fell back into my comfort zone of trying to “figure it all out”. I poured myself into researching everything there is to know about ADHD and how it’s affecting me (and my daughter too coincidentally--which also can be a very deep diversion from my business progress, albeit still essential to examine).  Meanwhile, I used all of this erratic energy and researched other businesses and solutions. I signed up for every tool, system, training, and software I could to keep up the ruse of progress. Until I was eventually drowning in so many tips and tools and emails from so many different places that I literally couldn’t find the important messages anymore.

Then I finally found my way back to my superpowers

And now I am here. Standing tall. Officially offering them to the world.

So I don’t actually have everything figured out, but that is precisely why and how it works. I’m curious and open to the process. I’m curious about what it is that's getting in the way and how we can uncover more sparkle in ourselves and in the world--together. And I'm open to the possibility that I might fail. But also with the assurance that it won’t break me. And with the hope that you might be willing to help...

What I offer:

I always refer to myself as a consultant, coach, and facilitator because I play each of these roles with every client regardless of what we are working towards. I use my background in behavioral sciences to apply neuroscience, research data, and best practices for behavior change to define and find success. This is also coupled with extensive strategies from positive psychology, organizational psychology, and leadership/management that build on our mutual and personal lived experiences for reflecting, reframing, and refining practices as needed. My core offer is coaching services, but I still offer a number of other pathways to success.

A note about success:

Sometimes success is about reaching a goal or doing a thing. Other times it’s about working through a specific issue or more general problem. Sometimes success is just finding a path. Defining what success looks like for YOU is the most important first step.

Once we know what we value and are working towards, we are more likely to find it. When you work with me, you will begin to lead a more connected life—at home, at work, or wherever life takes you—that is intentional, meaningful, and connected to your inner sparkle.

Instead of burying yourself in more resources, more tools, another template or supposed simple solution, let me help you cut through it all to connect to what matters most.

Let’s start this journey together to find our ConnectionPlan today.
